Job Description: Big Data Sales Manager - North India The primary objective of the Big Data Specialty Sales Executives is to achieve their overall revenue goal in the space of Big Data Specific engagements leveraging Oracle Big Data infrastructure technology components including Big Data Appliance. Big Data Analytics and Big Data technology associated Software. In order to achieve this goal, the Specialty Product Sales Executive must create a complete territory business plan, Develop Big Data solution sales engagements and sell Oracle Big Data products directly, along with BI sales team, Engineered Systems Sales and other X-LOB sales team, directly or via partners to a large number of named accounts/non-named accounts/geographical territory in defined region. Leading contributor individually and as a team member, providing direction and mentoring to others. Ability to forecast, manages sales expenses, and successfully closes new Oracle business. Business development, prospecting and presentation skills. The position encompasses range of responsibilities – including but not restricting to: ¾ Working with prospect’s business stakeholders to define the business problem / objective and specify the appropriate Oracle BIG Data solution offerings. ¾ Comprehend Big Data Use case in respective industry relevant engagements for use of new and non-traditional data sources, unstructured data (customer listening, social data, call logs, etc.) ¾ Interacting with subject matter experts internally and externally, related to Oracle offerings including Big Data Discovery, Big Data Appliance, predictive analytics, internet of things (IoT), business intelligence and analytics, and participates in internal training and development learning offerings ¾ Sell Big Data technology software products and related services in a defined territory. Identifies, qualifies and closes new opportunities. ¾ Manages targeted accounts through entire sales process from business development, prospecting, Sales progression, negotiation, order signing, and contracting and deal closure. ¾ Leverages the Oracle sales model to maximize revenue growth and increase local market share. Builds and expands business partner revenue and self sufficiency. ¾ Leveraging all available data sources and collaborates with relevant X-LOB resources within Oracle to bring forward valuable assets for use in Big Data infrastructure and analytic solutions. ¾ Strive to establish Oracle as the ‘Number 1’ Big Data technology player in India Region Desired Experience , Skills & Competencies: ¾ 10-15 years of relevant experience, primarily in direct sales revenue responsibility roles. ¾ Experience of Solution sales having worked with large MNCs/ advisory consulting / Indian SI. ¾ Proven Sales track record along with strong sales engagement management capability, backed up by some reference customer wins. ¾ Analytical solution sales skills with knowledge in Data Warehousing, BI and Big Data technologies are required. Also required aptitude and experience in creating actionable, business-focused Big Data usage discussions. ¾ Competent in comprehensively representing industry specific Big Data value propositions. Need to have knowledge of how software/applications are used in Big Data engagements. ¾ Detail-Oriented, Collaborative, Proactive, Passionate about learning, natural curiosity, success oriented, positive attitude, team oriented, adaptable to changes, respectful, responsive, understands urgency and can prioritize appropriately. ¾ Excellent communication skills, ability to articulate messages clearly and net out key points. ¾ Able to interact throughout various levels of the organization, capability to equivalently engage in both CIO and CXO level at large enterprises. Leverages the Oracle sales model to maximize revenue growth and increase local market share. Builds and expands business partner revenue and self sufficiency. Leading contributor individually and as a team member, providing direction and mentoring to others. Work is non-routine and very complex, involving the application of advanced technical/business skills in area of specialization. 8 years applicable experience including 7 years of technology sales experience. Ability to forecast, manage sales expenses, and successfully close new Oracle business. Business development, prospecting and presentation skills. Excellent communication skills and problem solving ability. Proven track record of exceeding sales objective and territory/account development. Experience as the focal point for clients for all sales and related issues. Oracle knowledge and/or knowledge of Oracle*s competitors. Travel may be needed. Bachelor degree or equivalent.
